Great coffee originates from great farms run by conscientious farmers and that is why our Guatemalan and Colombian coffee beans come to us direct from award winning farms and we roast them fresh! We believe in transparency with our customers, so we provide our sources. We purchase four varieties of Guatemalan coffee from Javier Cabrera and Miguel Medina, whose family has produced coffee for four generations. We purchase an additional two varieties from Luis Pedro MacKenney of Finca Australia Natural Private Reserve. Finca Australia derives its name from its secluded location in Guatemala, being "as far away from everything as Australia." It's nice to know they have a sense of humor, but quality coffee is serious business to this farm that has produced Private Reserve coffee for three generations. We purchase our Colombian coffee from AGPROCEM, which specializes in selling direct to micro-roasters. They support small businesses by providing a quality coffee crop, all while promoting their local families and farming communities.
