HAWAIIAN 100% KONA ORGANIC EXTRA FANCY
Kona coffee is arabica coffee grown on the slopes of Hualalai and Mauna Loa on the big island of Hawaii. Kona coffee is grown at an altitude above 2,000 feet in rich volcanic soil. Our Kona coffee is certified by the state of Hawaii as 100% Kona. It has a bright citrus floral acidity with notes of island fruit and nuts at a medium roast. A light roast brings out a greener earthy flavor. A dark roast brings out subtle chocolatey notes with hints of smokiness. An extra dark or french roast presents a deep smokey flavor.
We also offer a premium quality Kona/Guatemala blend, which offers a great balance at all roast levels. Our Guatemalan coffee in this blend is grown at elevations above 5,900 feet in rich volcanic soil. This blend minimizes the smokiness of pure Kona and accentuates the fruity notes. This blend forms a delicate smooth cup.
